Bobo started using MAXScript in the end of 1997 when Release 2 of 3D Studio MAX became available. In 1998, after helping users online via Usenet forums and the official support website for several years, Bobo was appointed Forum Assistant and continues to perform his duties today on the new Area site, but also spends a lot of time in the MAXScript conference on CGTalk.

In the early 90’s, Bobo worked as a 3D Studio consultant for an Autodesk dealer in Vienna and attended a dealer certification course at Autodesk Austria when 3D Studio MAX was first released in 1996. Bobo spent over two years as AutoCAD operator in an architectural office and in 1997, he became a freelancer in the area of architectural visualization, later developing multi-media applications using MAX and Macromedia Director. Between 1999 and 2003 Bobo was involved in a 3D game development project. In the period between 1998 to 2003, Bobo also worked as an instructor of 3D graphics at the Vienna University of Technology.

In August 2006 during the Autodesk User Event at Siggraph in Boston, Bobo was presented with the Autodesk 3ds Max Master Award for his contributions to the user community.
